GR 131 Anaga - Chasna

Distinctive stone bridge that crosses the Barranco de Las Goteras ravine.

Located about 100 metres above the PR 35.2 trail (Ruta del Agua), this pine tree forks into two main limbs. It is located in an area that is difficult to reach.

The Trevejos Agricultural Landscape is an area dedicated to agriculture, with vineyards as the main crop. This agricultural environment is known for the terraced vineyards that cover the landscape.

Built in the 19th century next to the cypress trees in the square of the church of San Pedro Apóstol, it currently serves as a parish house.

The chapel of San Roque was built at the beginning of the 17th century and is located on a hill overlooking the centre of the village. With local flagstone flooring, it has a single nave and a gable roof.

The church of San Pedro in Vilaflor de Chasna traces its history back to the beginning of the 16th century, as it was founded in response to the pious aspirations of Pedro Soler and Juana Padilla, his wife. It was thanks to these owners, the wealthiest residents of the village and the district, that the first chapel was erected in around 1530. It was not elevated to parish church status until 1568, and for more than two centuries it included in its broad jurisdictional area a good part of the villages in the present-day municipalities of Vilaflor, Arona, San Miguel, Granadilla and Arico. Hardly any artistic evidence of the original structure has survived, although the effigy of the titular figure of St Peter has endured: an important piece of white alabaster signed on the pedestal by the Aragonese sculptor Pedro Villar.

Several large specimens in an area dotted with old faya (Morella faya) and tree heath (Erica arborea). They are draped in lichens and mosses. The acebiños are trifurcated (with three main limbs) and have numerous suckers growing from them.

Cañada de la Grieta forms part of the scenic flatlands that lie along the well-known PNT Siete Cañadas trail. Its name originates from the iconic Roque de la Grieta, a distinctive rock formation found here.

Very tall but sparse pine trees. The circumference of the first is 6.15 metres, and that of the second is 4.9 metres. Their height is approximately 25 and 20 metres respectively.

Campo de Volcanes de Montaña Mojino - Boca de Cascajos is a volcanic field noted for its natural beauty, located in the Trevejos area at an elevation of 1,422 metres. This area is a favourite among hikers and sports enthusiasts.

This is a huge pine tree that is a well-known landmark in the area, towering over other large pines. It is the oldest specimen in the area and is surrounded by mixed forest. Lichen hangs from its branches, giving it a ghostly appearance. It has a large limb branching sideways towards the Los Órganos track and although you are advised not to visit it as access is difficult, its crown can be seen from the track.

This garden, located in the Teide National Park, occupies a 4-hectare plot of land and was designed to exhibit, interpret, research and breed the native flora of this area. 

Beautiful, well-known threshing floor on the slopes of Roque de Imoque and Los Brezos.

The area designated as BIC (Heritage of Cultural Interest) contains the original nucleus of Arona, the origins of which date back to the foundation of the primitive chapel, dedicated to San Antonio Abad by Antón Domínguez “el Viejo” in 1625, which was later reformed and extended in 1796 and at the beginning of the 19th century. The stately homes surrounding the parish church and its layout of cobbled streets make it one of the best preserved villages on the island.

In the old town centre of Arona stands an ancient Mount Atlas mastic tree or almácigo (Pistacia atlantica), nine metres tall, and listed in the Book of Monumental Trees of Tenerife. This tree is one of the symbols of the municipality’s heraldic coat of arms, and therefore forms part of its cultural heritage. There are other Mount Atlas mastic trees in Arona, alongside the road leading up to Vilaflor.
