Status of Tenerife’s trails and facilities after the forest fire

On 29 September, the Tenerife Island Council issued a resolution on the state of the facilities and trails.

LEVEL 1 with the restricted meassures appllied by that resolution in the following towns:

• Fasnia.
• Güímar.
• Arafo.
• Candelaria.
• El Rosario.
• Tacoronte.
• El Sauzal.
• La Matanza de Acentejo.
• La Victoria de Acentejo.
• Santa Úrsula.
• La Orotava.
• Los Realejos.

In the fire area, ALL ACCESS TO NATURAL AREAS IS FORBIDDEN.

In the Teide National Park, the following trails have been closed:

• PNT 01 - La Fortaleza in its entirety.
• PNT 02 - Arenas Negras in its entirety.
• PNT 04 - Siete Cañadas (partially, from the start by the El Portillo Visitor Centre to where it intersects with the PNT 30 Los Valles Risco de la Fortaleza trail).
• PNT 04.1 - Portillo Alto spur trail in tis entirety.
• PNT 06 - Montaña de los Tomillos (partially, from PNT 27 Montaña Rajada trail to where it intersects with the PNT 01 La Fortaleza trail).
• PNT 14 - Alto de Guamaso in its entirety.
• PNT 17 - Igueque in its entirety.
• PNT 20.- Volcán de Fasnia in its entirety.
• PNT 21 - Corral del Niño in its entirety.
• PNT 22 - Lomo Hurtado (partially from the start where it joins PNT 01 - La Fortaleza up to the point where it meets PNT 33 - Montaña Negra).
• PNT 24 - Portillo Alto in its entirety.
• PNT 24.1 - Portillo Alto - Botanical Garden in its entirety.
• PNT 25 - Recibo Quemado in its entirety.
• PNT 29 - Degollada del Cedro in its entirety.
• PNT 34 - Montaña Limón in its entirety.
• PNT 36 - Alto de la Fortaleza in its entirety.
• PNT 37 - Cerrillar - Carnicería in its entirety.
• Botanical Garden Circular Accessible Trail in its entirety.
• Botanical Garden Linear Accessilbe Trail in its entirety.
• Alto de Guamaso Accessible Trail in its entirety.
• Roque de Caramujo Accessible Trail in its entirety.
• El Portillo Visitor Centre.

In the rest of the island, the following trails have been closed:

• Sendero GR 131 Anaga – Chasna.
• Sendero PR TF 25 Las Raíces – Lomo La Jara.
• Sendero PR TF 25.1 Circular Las Raíces.
• Sendero PR TF 25.2 Las Lagunetas – Área Recreativa Hoya de Abade.
• Sendero PR TF 25.3 Las Lagunetas – Los Nateros.
• Enlace PR TF 25.2 con PR TF 25.3.
• Sendero PR TF 35 La Caldera – Mamio – La Caldera.
• Sendero PR TF 35.1 Casa del Agua – Pinolere.
• Sendero PR TF 35.2 Ruta del Agua.
• Sendero PR TF 35.3 Llano de los Corrales – Pinolere.
• Camino a Candelaria (tramo Aguamansa – La Crucita).
• Sendero PR TF 40 Ladera de Tigaiga.
• Sendero PR TF 40.1 Camino Punta del Risco.
• Sendero SL TF 81 Camino de la Orilla del Monte.
• Sendero SL TF 81.1 Conexión Orilla del Monte – Pista de Benijos.
• Sendero PR TF 41.1 Derivación al Portillo Ruta 0.4.0..

The following recreational areas and camping areas are also closed:

• Hoya de Abade.
• La Caldera.
• La Laguneta Chica.
• Las Calderetas.
• Los Frailes.
• Ramón Caminero.
