Description
This trail links the hamlet of Ifonche with the historic centre of La Quinta, one of the oldest settlements in the area.
It runs along part of the old Camino Real that connected the upper reaches of Guía de Isora, Adeje, Arona and Vilaflor. It also crosses three Protected Natural Areas, which adds to its cultural, scenic and environmental value.
The route begins in the Ifonche Protected Landscape, very close to the GR 131 trail (Anaga – Chasna), and winds its way through a combination of pine forests and the characteristic agricultural landscapes of farming terraces typical of the upland areas of the Comarca de Chasna.
After crossing over the upper part of the Barranco del Infierno ravine, the path enters the pine forest once again until it reaches El Aserradero, a site of great ethnographic value.
From there, the path crosses the PR-TF 71 Adeje – Las Lajas Recreational Area trail and continues eastwards until it reaches the hamlet of La Quinta.
