Canyoning Activities
Autorización general de actividades de Barranquismo en espacios naturales protegidos

🌱 The Island Council of Tenerife has created a general permit for canyoning in designated canyons within the island’s Protected Natural Areas.
📜 This measure, in line with Decree 111/2002, delegates management of these areas to the Island Councils and seeks to simplify administrative procedures, making this activity more accessible and responsible.
🌳 With this permit, legal entities, active tourism companies and individuals will be able to carry out canyoning activities in compliance with a set of conditions, such as respecting and conserving the environment, keeping noise to a minimum, not littering and refraining from acts that alter the environment.
In the case of groups, these may not exceed the limit of 20 participants. Although it is no longer compulsory for everyone to have a climbing federation membership card, the organiser or guide must carry their accreditation document and have obtained the informed consent of the participants in writing.
🔗 This permit will be in force until 31 December 2026, subject to revision or extension, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province. Check it out here.
