Ascent on foot of Mount Teide
Resolución de Medidas de control y seguridad para la ascensión a pie al Teide de 26 de febrero de 2025
🌋 The Tenerife Island Council has published a resolution establishing measures to guarantee the safety of visitors to Mount Teide, due to the increasing number of people ascending this stratovolcano.
🏞️ This document sets out the necessary conditions for accessing the trails, such as a mandatory prior reservation for several trails, including PNT 07 Montaña Blanca – La Rambleta, PNT 09 Teide – Pico Viejo, and others. It also lists the appropriate equipment and clothing requirements to ensure hiker safety 👕👟.
In addition, the resolution establishes sanctions of up to €600 for those who do not respect the regulations and provides for the possibility of temporary closure of trails ️🌧️in adverse weather conditions. For experienced mountaineers, specific bookings are required in the event of snow or ice ❄️.
